I actually wrote this post while I was sitting in a training session...so you can imagine how bored I was!!! Trainings are such a pain in the you-know-what...I just don't understand why I have to attend these sessions when I really don't grasp whatever is going on...Being in the IT industry, I guess it's imperative to learn new technologies...But for me, I need to work on something new before I even start understanding it!!! Demos are fine and fun, but when a person goes on and on, my eyes tend to glaze over and I block out everything that the instructor is saying...I'm physically present in class but I'm busy daydreaming about one thing or another!!! Hmmmm...More on the daydreams later...Maybe in another post :-)
To top it all, there was a very weird and spooky guy who was also attending this training (when I was busy writing all this stuff!!!)...Now this chap was downright creepy and those pakau types...It's quite tough for me to describe him as such...He, first of all thought no end of himself...Just because we needed information about the systems he was familiar with, he thought he was God or something!!! Plus he wanted to know everything that was going on in the training room...Now I know that is not such a bad thing, but when a person starts trying to listen in on a private conversation I'm having with a friend or another colleague, it does tend to get on your nerves quite a bit...Take for instance, an incident that happened during a break in the training...I was showing some themes on my phone to my colleague and friend, Shravan...And Mr Spooky Guy, who is sitting and conversing with someone else at the other end of the room, comes and sits next to us and asks, "Nivedita, what are you showing Shravan on your phone?" I'll bloody well show him anything I want on my phone, what's your problem?! I, of course couldn't say that to him on his face since we needed information from him, so I diverted the question somehow...I've never come across someone like him...But I guess I will in the future considering I'm working in such an industry!!!
Anyway, that's all from my side for the time being...Will try and be more regular from now on...Hope you enjoy reading my experience...Although I didn't enjoy going through it at all!!!
